Former WJBF – Augusta, Georgia, anchor and reporter, Jillian Benfield is a versatile television personality. Over the years as an anchor and reporter, Jillian has laughed in the morning, broken news in the evening and virtually everything in between. In the same week, she has doubled as the crime beat reporter and “Kid Connection” reporter, an original parenting series she created. With experience as a television news anchor, Jillian knows how to reach the broadcast media. She has acted as assignment manager and approving editor for six newscasts a week, produced and anchored two newscasts a week, posted web stories daily, served as a weekend reporter, morning reporter and noon anchor. Her experience from the broadcast side means she knows what tends to annoy people in a news room when it comes to PR pitches – and what pitches will work. Because of her time working different shifts, Jillian also knows which segments – morning, noon, early evening, nightside and weekends – are the most ideal when it comes to presenting a pitch. A graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.A. in Broadcast News, Benfield is an anchor, reporter, military wife and special needs mother who is currently going wherever the United States Air Force takes her family.
